Broomhall CastleAbout Us

An outstanding Baronial Mansion, Broomhall Castle was constructed in 1874 by John Foukes and Frances Mackison for James Johnstone and used as a private home until the 1930's. At that time it became a boys preparatory school but was burnt down in 1942. It long stood empty but was restored in the 1980's.

Broomhall Castle stands in an elevated position on the slopes of the Ochil Hills and is built on three principal storeys under a series of slate roofs. It has a spectacular tower reached via a spiral staircase.

The driveway leads through entrance gate piers up a sloping drive to a car parking area to the east of the house and a walkway to the front of the property. We have ample parking for 50 cars.

A lift provides access to al floors and we have ramped access to building should it be required.
